Specifically, under N.J.S.A. § 39:4-115, it is unlawful to make a turn at an intersection where 1) the traffic control signal (i.e. – stop light) is red or otherwise represents “stop” and 2) an official sign of the State, Municipality, or County prohibiting the turn is present.
