Dunellen Driving While Suspended

Under N.J.S.A. § 39:3-40, it is unlawful to operate a motor vehicle with a suspended or revoked driver's license. Driving with a suspended or revoked driver's license can have severe consequences. For example, a driver who causes bodily injury while driving with a suspended license is subject to at least 45 and up to 180 days in jail if convicted. Additional penalties include heavy fines and an extension of the suspension.

Dunellen Driving Without Insurance

In New Jersey, it is unlawful to drive without automobile insurance. Failure to maintain automobile insurance can result in severe penalties. Under N.J.S.A. § 39:6B-2, the first conviction for driving without insurance will result in a one year license suspension. Additionally, any subsequent conviction for driving without insurance will result in a two year suspension and mandatory imprisonment.
