Bloomfield Municipal Court handles non-indictable offenses occurring within Bloomfield Township. Non-indictable offenses generally include disorderly and petty disorderly persons offenses, local ordinance violations, and traffic violations. Since the Garden State Parkway passes through Bloomfield any traffic violations, such as speeding, DWI, etc., occurring on the Parkway in Bloomfield are heard by the Bloomfield Municipal Court.
